“One day, the angels came to present themselves before me; the Lord God, and Satan also came with them. I the Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered me, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.” Then I said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who respects me and lives for me.” “Does Job fear you for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge of protection around him and his family and everything he owns? But stretch out your hand and destroy everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” Then I the Lord said to Satan, “very well, then, everything Job has is in your hands, but on Job, do not lay a finger.”
…Then Satan went out from my presence to do his evil upon the earth, for he is the destroyer. Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7
What is Psychological Warfare?
Psychological warfare is the use of propaganda, threats and other techniques to mislead, intimidate, demoralize or otherwise influence a persons thinking and behaviour.
What are the effects of Psychological warfare?
Psychological warfare utilizes specific designs, including propaganda’s menacing statements that adversely affect a person’s rationale and actions to control, pressure and weaken the mind and body. As well as through overwhelming loneliness, appetite loss, guilt, isolation physically and emotionally, refusal to stand and fight and giving up.
Defending yourself against psychological warfare
Knowing is half the battle.
Psychological operations require stealth and repetition. Nothing is as it seems. Duplication of information becomes familiar and persuasive. They are degrading existing views, values and laws and creating new ones. When you understand and know that psychological manipulation is waging, you will be alert to the false and stand for the truth.
Become the enemy
Access your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. What would you do if YOU were the enemy to undermine another version of YOU? Being alert to the enemy thinking helps to avert potential attacks and become aware of naive blind spots.
Cultivate sound sources
Search out alternative media while refraining from following the propaganda of the national mass.
Beware of the mob
Disconnect from mass population media hype. Information designed to shut down personal intelligence; clouding all judgement.
Choosing to question authority and take it with wariness, you are making a conscious decision to learn and think for yourself.
Consider the opposing side
Educate yourself about your opposition. Knowing your enemy’s stand enables you to arrive at your intelligent conclusion.
Within the reality of psychological warfare, you will need to take the time to relax and disconnect. Pursue your favourite hobby, read a book, and exercise. Find solace outdoors in nature. Do the opposite of stress. Recharge positively. In doing so, you can ride out the storm and stand firm.
Adapting these guidelines to your lifestyle can eliminate the loneliness of isolation which is harmful, thus making you an easier target of influence.
Almighty God Speaks…
“I am your Father in heaven; I compel you to cry out to me for I hear you, and I answer you. I show you the wonder of my great love for you. I am saving you; I give you a refuge from your foes. I keep you as the apple of my eye; I hide you in the shadow of my wings from the wicked who assail and surround you. I know they have closed up their hearts and their mouths speak arrogance. They seek to track you down and throw you to the ground, like a lion hungry for prey crouching undercover. I rise and confront them. I bring them down. I am rescuing you from the wicked. I am saving you from such rulers of this world.” Psalm 17:6-14
“I am your Lord. I am your rock, fortress, refuge and deliverer. I am your shield and stronghold. I know the cords of death entangle you, and torrents of destruction overwhelm you. I know the depths of your distress. I hear your cries. I am your helper. I reach down from on high, and I take hold of you. I am drawing you out of your deep waters. I am rescuing you from your powerful enemy who is too strong for you. They continuously confront you, but I am your support. I rescue you and bring you into my spacious place. I comfort, settle, soothe, stabilize and calm you within my eternally secure safety, protection and love.” Psalm 18:1-6;16-19
“I am your Father, I turn to you, and I am gracious to you. I know you are lonely, afflicted and in distress. I see how the authorities fiercely hate you. I am guarding your life and rescuing you. I do not allow you to be put to shame.” Psalm 25:16-20
“My child, I am your Daddy; I am freeing you from the trap set for you. I am your refuge. I am aware of your distress. Your eyes grow weak with sorrow, your soul and body with grief. I compel you to trust me. Your life is in my hands. I am delivering you from those who pursue you. I see your alarm. You feel you are cut off from my sight, I hear you, and I am helping you. I never leave you or forsake you.” Psalm 31:4-5,9, 14-15,22
“I am Almighty God. I contend with those who contend with you. I arise and come to your aid. I am against those who pursue you. Those who seek your life I bring to disgrace; I turn them back in dismay. They are like the chaff of wind with my angel driving them away. My angel pursues them along a slippery dark path. Since they have set a net and dug a pit for you, I send ruin to overtake them by surprise. They will be entangled in the net and pit of their own making. I rescue you from those too strong for you and those who would rob you. Your attackers gather against you unaware and slander you without cause. They maliciously mock and gnash at you with their teeth. They do not speak peacefully but devise false accusations against YOU, who live quietly and peacefully in your nation. I, your God, arise to your defence and vindication.” Psalm 35
“Remember my Child, I hear you. I know your thoughts trouble you, and you are distraught at the voice of your enemy; at the stares of the wicked who bring down suffering upon you and revile you in anger. Your heart is in anguish within, and the terrors of death assail you. Fear and trembling have beset you. You wish you had wings like a dove and you could fly far away and be at peace; hurry to your place of shelter from the tempest and storm. I am your God, and I confuse and confound the violent speech of the enemy. I know destructive forces are at work in your nation, and threats and lies never leave the streets. Evening, morning and noon, cry out your distress to me. I hear you. I know your covenant has been violated with words as smooth as butter, yet war is in their hearts. Cast your cares upon me. I am sustaining you. I will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days.” Psalm 55
“I am your Father; I save you from the waters that have come up to your neck. I know you sink in the miry depths where there is no foothold. I know the floods engulf you. You are worn out calling for help; your throat is parched. Your eyes fail, looking for me. I know that those who hate you outnumber the hairs on your head. Many enemies without a cause seek to destroy you. You endure scorn for my sake. They disgrace and shame you. Scorn has broken your heart and has left you helpless. You look for human sympathy, but there is none. Comforters are not found. I know your pain and distress; I protect you. I hear the needy, and I do not despise you, my captive people.”Psalm 69
“Cry out loud to me; I hear and listen to you. Pour out your complaint before me, tell me your troubles. I know your spirit grows faint within. The path where you walk, men have hidden a snare. You look to the right and see that no one is concerned for you; no one cares for your life. I know your desperate need; I rescue you from those who pursue you, those who are too strong for you.” Psalm 142
Our Creator has spoken his words of comfort, awareness, love, protection and retribution. Be assured our Father knows all that is happening in our nation and across his earthly globe. He is intimately aware of the effects on our personal lives.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the whole armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the RULERS, against the AUTHORITIES, against the POWERS OF THIS DARK WORLD and against the SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL in the SPIRITUAL REALM.
Therefore, put on the whole ARMOR OF GOD so that when THE EVIL DAY COMES, you may be able to stand your ground, having done everything to stand.
Stand firm then, with the BELT OF TRUTH buckled around your waist, with the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS in place, and your feet fitted with the GOSPEL OF PEACE. Take up the SHIELD OF TRUST, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Put on the HELMET OF SALVATION and THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, God’s word. TALK TO GOD about everything as well as for OTHERS.” Ephesians 6:10-18
