In life, it is always best to start with God as our foundation.  All authority belongs to God.  The power he delegates to human government is within his scriptural limits.

We have been influenced to accept the idea of government as being involved in our health, welfare and education.  Government out of control makes it challenging to establish safe limits.  God’s word reveals a very narrow corridor of a government authority.  They are to be a minister of justice only; punish the evil doer, and elevate those who do good. (Romans 23:1-7)

Nowhere in God’s word is authority given to the government in the area of our personal health.  Where an infectious disease is mentioned the authority is given to the body of believers where no health care was forced or prescribed.  (Leviticus 13; Luke 17:12-14; Mark 1:40-44)  God prohibits any government enforcement of vaccine mandates.  The use of coercion to compel people is tyrannical and is to be resisted.

God has created each person with individual rights which cannot be taken away.  Governments were established by God to ensure the security of these personal freedoms; they have no authority to dictate your health choices.  We are under no moral obligation to submit to government health mandates.

Throughout history, people have been suppressed by their government’s brainwashing.  “It’s for your own good”, and destruction has always followed.

Communist China’s one-child law with forced abortion and sterilization.  Stalin’s man-made Ukraine famine and Hitler’s eugenic horror are stark reminders of what happens when we yield control of our bodily autonomy to the governing authorities.  May we listen and hear God’s warning.

Since March 2020, we have experienced diabolical government overreach in our personal lives.  The shutting down of businesses, forbidden to gather to worship, wearing of masks, prohibited from comforting the sick and dying, the shutdown of addiction and homeless ministries, no international travel and vaccine mandates; all in the name of public safety.

The repercussions of such control; suicide, homelessness, unemployment, domestic abuse, isolation, addictions, obesity, depression, financial collapse, low ambition and a loss of hope.

A question for you the reader.  Do you really want the government to be in control of your personal health?  Almighty God compels you to guard your right of choice; it is too costly to relinquish.

Listen to the words of the apostles Peter and John when accosted by the governing authorities of their era.

“The authorities called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.  But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you or God?  You are the judges!  As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”  After further threats they let them go.  They could not decide how to punish them, because the people were praising God.”
